Description
The ULMA Packaging Pacific LSBI 55 is a horizontal flow wrapping machine (HFFS – Horizontal Form Fill Seal) designed for the automatic packaging of a wide range of food products, particularly fresh and perishable items such as meat, poultry, and prepared foods. The machine operates with a bottom film reel (LSBI configuration), where the packaging film is fed from below the product infeed level. This design minimizes contamination risks in the sealing area and ensures high-quality hermetic seals, making it especially suitable for hygienic food applications. The Pacific LSBI 55 forms a three-seal pillow pack by wrapping a continuous film around the product, creating a longitudinal seal along the length of the package and transverse end seals to close each pack. The system is compatible with shrink and barrier films and can be integrated into modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) or shrink-wrapping processes. Packaging formats: Flexible adjustment for different product sizes and shapes. Film specifications: up to approx. 700 mm film width and 350 mm reel diameter. Product size range (typical): Length: from approx. 80 mm, width: up to approx. 360 mm and height: up to approx. 175 mm. Capacity: up to approximately 60 packs per minute, depending on product characteristics and film type. Previously used in a cheeseplant in Austria for packaging portions of semi-hard cheeses.
