UHT Pilot plant with aseptic homogeniser and filling chamber - APV UHT pilot + Gaulin 396 MCP 4-2,5TBS

APV pilot UHT plant equipped with an indirect heating module using a plate heat exchanger and an aseptic homogeniser. The unit was previously used for R&D purposes in a dairy plant in Belgium. Capacity up to 400 litres per hour. Temperature profile: approx. 4 – 145 – 20 °C.

The skid-mounted unit consists of a plate heat exchanger (APV T4) with 5 sections and a total of 127 plates (9-15-23-55-25), two regeneration sections, heating and cooling sections, hot water/steam section and indirect steam heating. The system is further equipped with three connectable holding tubes, balance tank (Ø 38 cm, height 75 cm, volume approx. 80 litres) with agitator for ingredient mixing, water circulation pump, centrifugal product pump feeding the balance tank and a high-pressure plunger pump (Cat) with variable speed control via frequency inverter. The installation includes all required valves and a control panel with Siemens S7-1200 PLC and Siemens touchscreen HMI. Both the maximum and outlet product temperatures are fully controllable.

The line also includes:

• Aseptic homogeniser (APV Gaulin 396 MCP 4-2,5TBS, year 1996, serial no. 96L34835). The homogeniser is fitted with an 11 kW motor, is two-stage, manually adjustable and equipped with three pistons (piston diameter 20 mm). It can be installed upstream or downstream of the UHT plant and is connected via dedicated interconnecting piping.
• Filling chamber with air unit and filling valve.
